In an effort to keep pace with the iPhone and Palm's latest offerings, a Sony Ericsson 12 megapixel camera phone called the Satio has emerged recently.

Sony Ericsson 12 Megapixel Camera Phone: Price & Mobile Phone Review

Satio, featuring all of the best parts of the iPhone, Pre, and Pixi, the Satio is vying for a spot among the great smart phones on the market.

But have they succeeded in doing so?

That’s the question that remains to be answered.

If you are in the market for a new camera phone with a great many, versatile capabilities, then read below for a more in depth review of the Sony Ericsson 12 megapixel camera phone called Satio.

Sony Ericsson 12 Megapixel Camera Mobile Phone Reviews

Collected from a number of online consumer reviews, here’s a look at some of the best and worst aspects of the Sony Ericsson 12 megapixel camera phone:

The Good:

Touch Focus – One of the more attractive features (and certainly one of the coolest) is the touch focus capability in camera mode. All you have to do is aim your camera phone at the desired spot and then touch the spot on the LCD screen with your finger that you want the camera to focus on. Touch the tree in the upper right corner, and there will the camera focus. Easy as pie, and cool as ice.

Resolution – Having a 12 megapixel resolution (12.1mp, actually) on a digital camera is extraordinary. But to have it on a camera phone? That’s just ridiculously amazing. With this product, you won’t have to own a separate digital camera, because this one will take better pictures than most cameras out there anyway.

Versatility -The Satio Sony Ericsson 12 megapixel camera phone is so many things in one sexy package. And none of them suffer from their abilities being spread too thin. The phone works great, the mp3 player is to die for, the camera is beyond fantastic, and the java gaming is exciting and addictive. This device does it all.

The Bad:

Headphones – The earpieces this ultra-high-end camera phone come with are really poor. You’d think Sony would include with the Satio their own rubberized ear buds that block out all other sounds, or at least something of a similar high quality. Nope.

The Jack is Jacked – And speaking of headphones, the jack isn’t a 3.5 mm design, so you’ll have to buy an adapter if you want to use your own good headphones with this phone.

Software Glitches – A lot of consumers have complained about faulty software after just a few months of use. The T9 function has reportedly failed multiple times and what was once mistaken for user-unfriendly behavior has shown itself to be self-destructing programs that just stop working. You’ll need to run constant updates and probably visit a technician or two before getting this guy back to normal.

Sony Ericsson 12 Megapixel Camera Phone Review: The Bottom Line

The best advice we can offer you is to go to the store and give it a test run for yourself. After all, only you are able to tell if the user interface is right for you.

But if you want our honest opinion right now, we’d say you’d probably do well to skip this one.

The Sony Ericsson 12 megapixel phone price tag is pretty high at over $500.

Of course, that’s without the signing of a new plan contract with a service provider.

But with a base price that’s on par with the iPhone and the Pre, you should just get the better product.

And the Satio simply isn’t the better product.

Pay As You Go Camera Phone: Reviews of Pay As You Go Cell Phones

Choosing a pay as you go camera phone over another device is becoming a common occurrence these days.

People are simply getting fed up with the rising costs of cell phone service with the big companies like ATT, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. The monthly payments are becoming more and more expensive while they aren’t using the phones up to their full potential.

A lot of people find they aren’t using all their minutes, or that having unlimited texting is a waste of money.

What many consumers want now is the opportunity to only pay for what they use. If they’re only on the phone for 250 minutes in a month, there’s no reason they should have to pay for 400.

A pay as you go camera phone is one that allows you to do just that. You pay for what you use and not for anything more.

Sure, the devices are less spectacular than the latest from manufacturers like Apple, Blackberry, or Palm, but not everyone is interested in having the best gadgets out there. Some people just want a cell phone that works.

Below, we’ll review three different models of pay as you go cell phone handsets and go into a bit more detail about how you can go about picking one up for yourself.

Pay As You Go Cell Phone: Reviews

Here’s a look at three very different pay as you go cell phone models to give you an idea of the selection available to you if you decide to go this route.

Net10 Camera Phone: LG 600G – You can buy a refurbished model of the LG 600G pay as you go camera phone for only $50 from Amazon’s marketplace. And what does it come with? 300 minutes upon activation, nationwide coverage, downloadable graphics and ringtones, a VGA camera, color display, speakerphone, voice recorder, text messaging, alarm clock, stop watch, 1000 phonebook entries, and much, much more.

Verizon Pay As You Go Cell Phone: Blitz Impulse – This prepaid phone from Verizon comes with nationwide coverage, the ability to add on an unlimited messaging bundle, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and Bluetooth capabilities. The Blitz is a uniquely designed phone that can take care of all your needs.

T-Mobile Nokia 1208 Prepaid Cell Phone – This is a basic pay as you go cell phone capable of storing 250 names and addresses, 180 hours of use on one charge, recharging in three hours, storing up to 128mb of data, and allowing you to talk on speakerphone. It has none of the bells and whistles of the modern smart phone, but it will work well for basic operations.

Where to Find a Prepaid Camera Phone

These days it’s pretty easy to find a pay as you go camera phone. They have them at grocery stores, drug stores, electronics stores, and even at their own prepaid phone stores.

3 Megapixel Camera Phone: Reviews of Nokia N80 & Nokia N93 3MP Phones

A 3 megapixel camera phone just isn’t going to live up to the standards of today’s electronics-minded consumers.

With the advent of the iPhone, the Palm Pre, advanced Blackberry designs, and other great smart phones, every cell phone manufacturer is trying to create the latest and greatest products by pushing the envelope of technological advancement.

For instance, there are camera phones out there with a resolution of over 12 megapixels.

Just imagine how popular a 3 megapixel camera phone is compared to them.

However, these are great phones if you’re living on a budget or not really concerned with being able to do everything on your phone from writing emails to watching live television.

If you are in the market for a basic phone that still workswell, you may want to consider a 3 megapixel camera phone. You just can’t expect greatness.

Below, we’ll take a closer look at two of Nokia’s 3 mp phones and let you know where you can find them if you so wish to pick one up.

3 Megapixel Camera Phone Reviews

Let’s take a look at two different Nokia models of 3 megapixel camera phone devices to give you a look at the kind of quality such phones are made with.

Nokia N80 – The good news is that this multimedia camera phone not only has a 3 mp camera, but a secondary VGA camera, as well as an integrated mp3 music player, a fairly sharp display screen, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. The bad news is that it’s a very expensive phone (because there is no service carrier backing its sale) and it works slowly when you try to do more than one thing at a time. For those of you who can’t afford it, don’t worry””there are much better phones out there. And for those of you who can afford it, don’t be in a rush””there are much better phones out there.

Nokia N93 – The resolution on the Nokia N93 is actually 3.2 mp, and it comes with video recording abilities (along with the by-now-requisite Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies), but the clunky weight of this phone makes it a bit cumbersome. The swivel design is out-of-sight, but the number of dropped calls is unforgivable. Bottom line: this phone has great features but fundamental flaws. Skip it.

3 Megapixel Camera Phone Reviews: Where to Find One

To be honest, camera phones with 3 megapixel resolution are becoming rather hard to find. A new model from any of the major manufacturers of cell phone devices will probably have a much higher megapixel count than three.

Of course the upside to that is 3 megapixel camera phone products are going to be fairly cheap, comparatively. So if you can find one, you’ll probably get a great deal on it.

So where do you go?

Well, since they are no longer being made in abundance, you won’t be able to find too much at the store. But if you want to shop online for a product like the Nokia N80 or N93, there are a number of sites you can visit.

Try these web pages to start with:

Amazon.com

Buy.com

Ebay.com

Craigslist.org
