Are your curious about printing a panoramic photo? If you are new to photography, you have likely been amazed by all the different panoramic photos that people are happy to show off. While these elongated pictures may be very beautiful, most of us do not even know where to begin when it comes to creating a panoramic photo. While it may seem intimidating right now, you will find that the entire process of being able to design a panoramic photo is not only fun, but very rewarding!

Review of Creating & Printing Panoramic Photos

If you are planning on creating a panoramic photo, the first thing you need to realize is what all is involved in the process. Most cameras are not able to take quality panoramic pictures, making it necessary that you have a digital camera with a panoramic function. You can also do this with traditional cameras, but you will need a special lens designed for your camera. Once you are ready, try finding somewhere that will perfect for a panoramic picture. Most of the time, this will be a landscape or city scene. While you can find other types of scenes, it will likely be difficult for people who are first learning how to design a panoramic photo.

Best Software for Creating a Panoramic Photo

For people who are lucky enough to be able to afford it, we highly recommend using Photoshop. If you do not have it, however, make sure to find a freeware programs online for creating a panoramic photo. Our preferred software is Hugin since it is very easy to use and will do just about anything you want for your panoramic photo. If you are using a tutorial, you may also want to spend some time seeing what software they are using for creating and printing a panoramic photo. If the software they are using is free and you do not have a preferred piece of software, use their software choice. It will make sure you understand what you need to do for printing a panoramic photo correctly.

Review of Printing a Panoramic Photo at Home

While some tutorials say you can print panoramic pictures at home, this is very difficult to do, unless you are planning on buying a special printer. While you can print it out with some printers, the picture will not be very high quality and will likely be a disappointment. Instead, we recommend finding places online for printing a panoramic photo. It will be easier for you and you do not even need to leave your own home. Our preferred places for printing panoramic photo online include:

Poster Size It.com

Imaginative Photo

EZ Prints

Want to know the trick of how to take good portraits of your family? Learn everything you need to know about how to take good head shots in our review!

Wondering how to take good portraits of family members? Contrary to what many amateur photographers may think, taking portraits is very difficult. Not only is it time consuming, but requires a great deal of understanding of perspective and understanding the rules of 3rds. While landscapes may seem difficult at times, dealing with living subjects, especially family members, can make things interesting when it comes to trying to take good portraits. Luckily, we know some amazing tips that we think will make it much easier to take good family portraits.

Review of How to Take Good Portraits

With how easy it is to take pictures with our digital cameras, it is not too surprising that more people are taking their own pictures. Going to a studio to take pictures is not only expensive, but time consuming. Rather than spend the money, more people are opting to buy quality digital cameras and take pictures at home. Unfortunately, many people are finding that it’s much harder to take good family portraits that than they first imagined.

How to Take Good Family Portraits: Common Mistakes

When many of us think of taking family portraits, we think of just taking pictures of our family during vacation or at home. Taking a portrait of your family is a totally different beast, making it very difficult for amateur photographers. Here are some common mistakes that many amateur photographers make when it comes to learning how to take good family portraits.

Busy Backgrounds: Many photographers make the mistake of over-complicating pictures by using busy backgrounds. Always use a simple background that does not draw away from the picture. A sheet on a wall or a simple outside picture is perfect.

Perspective: Always think ahead of time how the picture is going to look printed. Don’t be afraid to play with different perspectives. Taking a normal, horizontal shot can look boring and emphasize imperfections.

Lighting: Many photographers don’t use enough light or know when it is appropriate to use their flash. Avoid using your flash indoors, and use plenty of indirect lighting.

Set-Up: Don’t have your children in the room when you set up for the photo. It will likely cause a mess and frustration. Have everything ready in the room before you start taking pictures.

Comfort: Don’t threaten your children or tell them to stay still for too long. Make sure they are comfortable and talk to them as you are taking pictures. It will lead to more natural, happy pictures.

How to Take Good Headshots

When it comes to learning how to take good portraits, many amateur photographers have problems learning how to take good headshots. The trick to this is learning perspective and keeping the camera at eye level with your subject. This will lead to more natural, amazing looking pictures. If you are taking pictures of children, this will mean that you will have to bring the camera to their level. While it may seem odd at first, it will quickly lead to beautiful pictures of your children and family.

Review of Fixing Camera Lens Issues

When many of us hear that something is wrong with our camera, we immediately panic.
Avoid Replacing Camera Lenses

Here are our quick fix tips to avoid replacing a camera lens for your camera. Most issues can easily be fixed with the below guide. Even though some guides will tell you to open up your camera, we recommend NOT doing this. This can destroy your camera or void your warranty to any type of damage. If these don’t work, make sure to get a hold of a repair facility.

Best Lens Repair Fixes

1) Fix Number 1 – Change the Battery in your camera. If they are rechargeable and over a year old, get new batteries. Sometimes old batteries are enough to confuse your camera and cause an error message.

2) Fix Number 2 – Take advantage of your factory reset. Sometimes an issue could be due to a corrupted driver in your camera. If this is the case, your camera will be back to normal after a reset.

3) Fix Number 3 – If your camera will not turn on or the above doesn’t work, plug your camera into your computer. Most software comes with a restore and will give you access to your digital camera to do simple repair on the software. This may include e installing new drivers.

4) Fix Number 4 – Use compressed air on your camera. This will get rid of any dirt or stand on the barrel of your lens. Make sure that you blow into all the gaps. For this digital camera repair tip, you can also use a hair dryer without heat.

5) Fix Number 5 – Clean gaps out with a sewing needle and piece o f paper. If the compressed air or blow dryer method doesn’t work, try this to get out any grit or sands from the barrel.

Looking at printing panoramic pictures? For many of us, nothing is neater than printing out your first panoramic pictures, especially if you are an amateur photographer. The one problem that many people face, however, when it comes to printing panoramic photos is that many local printing stores do not have the capability to print panoramic picture or provide you with the services you need to stitch together your pictures. While it may seem intimidating at first finding somewhere that will help you with printing your panoramic pictures, it will be fun once you realize that you can do just about everything you need without leaving your own home!

Review of Printing Panoramic Pictures

Even though many people don’t realize it, the process of creating panoramic pictures is very easy, especially when you know what you need to start. While you may worry about how difficult it will be to print and create panoramic pictures, the hard part is actually taking the pictures themselves. No matter how great your software is or what methods you use, you don’t have anything without great panoramic pictures. For this reason, we recommend starting the process of creating your own panoramic pictures with great software and tutorials.

Review of Printing Panoramic Pictures Tutorials

If you have never gone through the process of creating and printing panoramic pictures, we highly recommend that you look for a quality tutorial. While it may have been difficult in the past to find a printing panoramic pictures tutorial in the past, the internet and other helpful photographers have made making panoramic pictures easy. We have used quite a few tutorials in the past, with our favorite being the following tutorials.

Digital Photography School Tutorial

LifeHacker Panoramic Pictures Tutorial

Kenrockwell Tutorial

Many of these tutorials mention their own preferred software for printing panoramic pictures. If you can, try using the software that is recommended in the tutorial. If it is not freeware, however, just feel free to use a free version or other type of printing panoramic pictures software that is on the market. No matter who makes the printing panoramic pictures software, you should be able to use the same steps mentioned.

Best Printing Panoramic Pictures Stores Online

While you can go to your local picture studio for printing panoramic pictures, it is important to realize they are going to sending your pictures off to another studio. Most do not have the equipment for printing panoramic style pictures. Rather than pay the extra money, we recommend finding somewhere online for printing panoramic pictures and have your finished pictures sent right to your door. Our preferred places for printing panoramic pictures online include:

Postersite-it.com

Imaginative Photo.com

EZ Prints.com

Trying to find the best places to take wedding pictures in New York City? Discover the best spots to take wedding pictures in New York in our review!

Trying to find some great places to take wedding pictures? If you are having a wedding in the New York area, you are likely struggling to find places to take wedding pictures. While some people blow off wedding pictures, they are actually quite important. Not only are they beautiful, but a great memory of your special day of love. To make sure that you have the most memorable pictures possible, it is important to choose places to take bridal pictures that have that theme. Luckily, there are dozens of great places in New York City that are known to be great spots to take wedding pictures!

Best Places to Take Wedding Pictures

If you are planning a wedding, you have likely been struggling with where to find the best wedding places to take wedding pictures in NY. There are hundreds of places that are well known throughout the city, but where would be the best places to take romantic, and memorable pictures? Before you decide to purchase any packages, we recommend looking at different wedding pictures taken by photographers throughout the city. This will allow you to get some new, interesting ideas that capture the essence of your wedding and one of the oldest cities in the United States.

Best Spots to Take Wedding Pictures

One of the first thing you need to do when it comes to finding places to take wedding pictures in NY is determining what type of pictures you want . While some places may look cool, you don’t want your wedding pictures to look like tourist pictures. You want something that gives a romantic, elegant look that captures the essence of the big apple being one of the most romantic cities in the world. Some of the best spots to take wedding pictures in the city, in our opinion, include:

Central Park

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Times Square

Madison Square Gardens

Metropolitan Museum

Best Places to Take Wedding Pictures: Words of Caution

Many places have Grand Central station on their list as well, but we would personally recommend against this. With how congested this station is on weekend, it can easily lead to problems. This can also happen with Times Square, so make sure you are very careful where you take your pictures. Also, when picking places to take wedding pictures, talk with your future spouse to make sure they are comfortable having people they don’t know as part of your wedding pictures – both Times Square and Grand Central are guaranteed to have this!

No matter where you decide to take your wedding pictures, make sure they capture the essence of your love. With all the wonderful places in NYC, it is easy to find the perfect places to take wedding pictures!

Trying to determine the best time to take pictures outdoors? Discover the best time of day to take pictures outside and throughout the day in our review!

Trying to find the best time to take pictures? If you are someone who takes landscape photography, you have likely been frustrated with pictures not turning out right because of not enough light or improper lighting. If you are traveling, this is especially frustrating since you likely do not have a great deal of time to wait around for the conditions to be perfect. Wouldn’t it be great if you could figure out the best time of day to take pictures, especially when you are traveling?

Best Time to Take Pictures Outdoors

At one time, it was a rule of thumb that you only take pictures at sunup and sundown if you want to take amazing pictures. While these are amazing time to take pictures, it is silly to stay in all day instead of taking pictures, especially when you are traveling. Most professional photographers don’t have the luxury when they are traveling to go to multiple spots, waiting for the perfect time for conditions to be perfect. Rather, they plan around the conditions of the area and when would be the best time of day for the type of picture they are trying to capture.

Best Time of Day to Take Pictures

When you are looking for the best time to take pictures outdoors, it is important to understand that the lighting of the area will likely affect the type of picture you are going to get. Here are the types of photos you can expect to get depending on the time of day you take pictures.

Morning – Best time to take pictures outdoor if you are taking landscape shots, portraits or wildlife pictures. It will provide the best natural light.

High Noon – This is the best time of day for forest pictures, since the sun will go through thick bushes and trees to create magnificent pictures. This is usually the best time to take photographs of waterfalls.

Sundown – This will create the same conditions as a sunrise, except the sun will be in a different place in the photos. This can create pretty, romantic pictures.

Midnight – Great time to take exposure shots in cities, especially in area with low light pollution.

Best Time of Day to Take Pictures: Lighting

The trick to taking pictures outdoors is lighting. Of course, early morning and late afternoon are the best times for taking pictures, but you can still take amazing pictures during other parts of the day. If you are having problems with lighting, don’t be afraid to bring flashlights or lighting of your own. If you have the luxury, also take some time to take to take a pre-shoot trip so you can go over the area and see how much natural light is provided at the time of day you are planning on taking pictures.

Best Tips on Taking Photos

One of the ways that many of us save money with pictures is taking our own family pictures. While we may want to go into the studio and take professional pictures, it is cost prohibitive for many of us on a budget. The problem is though, how can we display some of these pictures, especially when they look dark or don’t make our family look that amazing. Contrary to what many professionals may want you to think, it is easy to take great looking pictures, especially if you are willing to slow down and learn some interesting tips on taking great pictures, even if you are using a cheap camera!

Best Tips & Techniques on Taking Photos

If you want to take great pictures, the secret is mostly patience and knowing your camera. Once you know the capability of your camera, you can go a long way when it comes to taking great pictures. If your camera has a problem with certain angles or lighting, this should always be taken into account. After this has been solved, it is easy to take great pictures. Here are some of our favorite tips on taking great pictures that anyone can use!

Always Look Your Subject in The Eyes.

Taking pictures at eye level allows you to create more personal and inviting pictures that will look amazing and mesmerizing!

Always Use a Flash Outside, but Rarely Inside.

By using a flash outside, you can avoid unflattering facial shadows and lighten up pictures. To keep pictures from looking too bright and paling inside, never use flash – only indirect lighting.

Know Your Flash Range & Prepare to Move Lights.

This is a very common mistake for photographers. Know what is too close and too far for your cameras flash.

Take Advantage of Natural Environment

One of the best cheats on taking photos. Use a beautiful, but neutral background to add life to a picture.

Don’t Use Busy Backgrounds.

Busy backgrounds take away from the picture and fight for attention.

Best Cheats on Taking Creative Photos

Adding some creativity to your pictures is easy, as long as you are willing to break some traditional rules of photography. Remember, photography is an art form, so it’s okay to use some cheats on taking photos. The best way to add some creativity to your pictures is by using some different perspectives. Don’t be afraid to take your subject out of their comfort zones and use angles you would never have considered. By using these types of techniques on taking photos, you can easily liven up a picture, making it seem more fun, and inviting. Never be afraid to experiment!

Looking for the best panoramic software? As any photographer can tell you, the trick to having great looking panoramic pictures is having a software program that can help you stitch together the picture.
Best Panoramic Software: Finding Software

When it comes to photography, most of us are used to the fact that our equipment is expensive. If you want to take great pictures, you better expect to pay good money for all of your equipment. Some of the best free panoramic software on the market were designed to be user friendly and allow you to stitch together panoramic pictures with almost no difficulty. When we first went looking for the best panoramic applications online, we were overwhelmed by all the choices. Many well known camera manufacturers, as well as studios, have put out their own free panoramic software, all of which is very easy to use. Some of the best panoramic software that we found online includes:

Hugin

Panorama Plus

Autostitch

POS Panoramic Pro

Windows Live Photo Gallery

We have used all of these programs at one point or another, and found all of them to be great resources for any photographer. While there are others available, these are the best free panoramic software applications on the market to use.

Best Panoramic Software Applications: Free vs Pay

If you look at some of these software applications, you will see that some take donations or have a pay option. We have used the freeware versions, but are not afraid to give tips for any great working software. If you like any of the free panoramic software programs listed above, don’t be afraid to give these developers a tip. This makes sure that there is still support for the program and newer free versions of the software available in the future.
