Looking for a list of the best panoramic cameras currently on the market? Discover the very best digital cameras with a panoramic view in our review!

Trying to find the best panoramic cameras on the market? With Christmas being just around the corner, many of us are trying to find high quality panoramic cameras for our loved ones or ourselves. If you know that they enjoy taking panoramic pictures, this is a good time to introduce them to taking pictures with a digital camera. The trick is finding cheap panoramic cameras that do a great job taking digital pictures and taking panoramic style pictures.

Review of the Best Panoramic Cameras

If you have taken panoramic pictures for years, you know that digital cameras didn’t used to be the best way to take panoramic pictures. In the past, we would take an old fashion camera that had a special lens, or use a camera specially designed for taking panoramic pictures. While these cameras did a great job, they had a problem with leaving you unclear on how the pictures would look until you finished in the dark room. Since digital cameras with a panoramic view used to have a bad reputation, most photographers today will still avoid them like the plague. While they did deserve this reputation in the past, they have come a long way, being the preferred way of taking panoramic pictures. Even better, some of the best cameras with a panoramic shot can do an even better job than a traditional camera.

Review of the Best Cheap Panoramic Cameras

Just like any type of camera, it is important that you know your budget before you go looking for a cheap panoramic camera with a panoramic shot feature. Some of these cameras can easily cost you over a $1,000, something that we believe is a bit too expensive for taking panoramic pictures. Over the years, quite a few cheap panoramic cameras have made their way on the market, allowing the majority of the population to be able to afford these cameras. Some of our favorite digital cameras with a panoramic view include:

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX1

Kodak Easyshare Z915

Olympus MJU Tough 8000 Compact

Olympus SP-800 UZ

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX1

Best Digital Panoramic Cameras: Brand

When it comes to looking for the best digital cameras with a panoramic view, we highly recommend checking out Sony and Olympus cameras. Both of these brands have spent a great deal of time researching panoramic functions and finding what works the best with their cameras. Along with their other features, you can get the best panoramic cameras that are great for just about any type of pictures. While they may be a bit more expensive than the competition, they are worth every penny when you see the high quality pictures you can take with these cameras!

Examining the Cheap Kodak Digital Cameras

Most cheap Kodak digital cameras are bestsellers simply because of the brand name they’re associated with: Kodak. It is a brand that has been trusted over the many, many years it has been in business.

And for good reason, too.

Kodak consistently makes some of the best cameras on the market. The Kodak Easyshare digital camera line has some of the cheapest cameras out there. And unlike other inexpensive cameras, these cheap Kodak digital cameras are of decent quality.

The Easyshare cameras are great tools for website publishers. You can take a picture and then automatically configure the image to fit the specification of the following websites:

Facebook

Flickr

YouTube

Kodak Gallery websites

And email

Here are three cheap Kodak digital cameras with review to give you a bit of a closer look at the Easyshare line.

C142: Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera Review

The C142 is the cheapest Kodak Easyshare digital camera worth owning. For a digital camera under $100, the C142 has a great list of specifications.

Compare it to the most inexpensive Nikon, Panasonic, and Canon digital cameras and you’ll see how great a deal the C142 truly is.

The C142 has not yet been released, but when it does, be sure to consider picking one up for a first-time photographer. It is a very easy to use device.

Here are some of the important details:

10-megapixel resolution for prints as big as 30 x 40 inches

3x optical zoom

2.7-inch LCD screen

Face recognition technology

Compatible with sd/SDHC memory cards

Retails for under $90

C180: Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera Review

For someone who doesn’t need a lot of advanced features, the C180 is one of the better digital cameras on sale.

It’s a snap to figure out. It’s very user-friendly and requires you to do not much more than just point and click.

While it may prove frustrating for the advanced digital photographer trying to use the different features and modes, it is perfect for the beginner.

Here’s a peek at some of the Kodak C180′s Pros and Cons:
PROS:

Easy to use

LCD screen is a good size at 2.4-inches

Screen resolution is high

Sharing abilities are useful

Cheap, cheap, cheap

CONS:

Some of the advanced function don’t work well

Lack of viewfinder

Short battery life with AA batteries

No speaker for video playback

M530: Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera Review

For just a few more dollars, the M530 is a gigantic leap in technology over the C142 and C180.

Everything good about the C Series is included here, but much more advanced.

The photo quality is better, the special features are more sophisticated, and the camera as a whole is just far superior. If you are willing to shell out the extra $30 to $40, you should go for the M530.

Here are a few of the details:

12-megapixel resolution

3x optical zoom

2.7-inch LCD screen

High-Definition picture capture

Kodak was on the forefront of the film camera market for many years, a household name, and the manufacturer that everyone wanted to buy their cameras from. Once the digital camera market boomed, Kodak slipped away, known for their film and disposable cameras, and not much else.

That has changed, and Kodak is pushing hard on the digital camera market, with cameras ranging from basic point and shoot to prosumers. Their most successful line is the EasyShare, with over ten cameras offering their own unique features.

One of the newer models in the point and shoot category is the V1253. This digital camera offers high definition 720p video recording, which allows you to quickly and easily grab high quality footage without having to lug around a camcorder.

If you’re looking for a small and light digital camera with HD video recording capabilities, then this camera is definitely a contender. Read on to find out if this camcorder is worth the price and if it will meet your needs, as well as any other issues you need to be aware of.

Body

The body of this device is sleek and small, and it can be slipped into any pocket – it measures in at a small 4″ x 2″ x 1″, which qualifies this as a compact. It is available in two colors, black and white, and offers a widescreen display on the back. The back of the camera features you basic controls – except the navigational button is controlled with a small joystick. There is also a Favorites button, which allows you to tag photos that you especially like.

Features

This camera has a 12 megapixel sensor, which will offer very high resolution photos for those who like to make large prints of their pictures. You can also take photo’s in widescreen format, but they are cropped to nine megapixels.

You can shoot 720p high definition footage, which looks very nice. You can’t do any editing to it, but you can shift through the frames individually, looking to make sure you’ve gotten what you wanted.

The ISO ranges goes from 64 to 3200, which noticeable noise at higher ISOs. There 3x optical zoom and HDMI out if you use the Kodak HDTV Dock.

Cons

The camera has to be charged with a USB cord pulled into a computer. You can purchase an AC adapter, however, for about $12.

There is no image stabilization, which isn’t ideal. However, there is a very shutter speed, so blurs will be kept to a minimum.

Finally, there is come vignetting when using the zoom in widescreen mode, which could ruin an otherwise good shot.

Conclusion

The HD video recording is a nice feature, and one that will added to more cameras over the next couple of years. If you are just as concerned about video recording as you are about snapping pictures, then this is no doubt an excellent option.

Remember that there is image stabilization, which could prove problematic for certain types of shooting.

Meet the Kodak EasyShare Z915. With its sleek, easy to carry body and amazing high-end features, the Kodak EasyShare Z915 is easy to fall in love with.

The 10x optical zoom is not its only feature. The Kodak EasyShare Z915 offers amazing user control, quick photo taking, and a bevy of setting modes. There is a total of 17 scenes from which to choose. The standard portrait and landscape are present, but also included is snow, fireworks and Beach.

Video is standard these days, but the Kodak EasyShare Z915 surprises once again. While shooting video, you can direct the camera to zoom in as needed. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it zooms. But at the rock bottom price that the Kodak EasyShare Z915 is on the market at, this is a powerful issue. The zoom feature is great, but the video quality is average. Tests resulted in a few fuzzy .mov files. It seems that the auto-focus feature takes a bit to focus as you zoom in and out. But, if the camera is primarily for picture taking, don’t let the lack of professional video abilities deter you.

One of the best features in the Kodak EasyShare Z915 is the exposure-bracketing option. You can set this to take up to three shots in succession. This makes getting “The shot,” mission accomplished.

When it comes to image quality, the Kodak EasyShare Z915 steps up to the window. Let’s face it. When it comes time to develop those 1st year Birthday photos if the picture quality is not superb, the camera is a failure. Overall the Kodak EasyShare Z915 receives high scores. At the large picture sizes, some distortion maybe evident, but color representation and exposure levels are spot on. One thing you may want to have handy before taking your Kodak EasyShare Z915 to the beach is a set of extra AA batteries. With an average shot ability of 194 before killing the batteries, it doesn’t meet industry averages. Most mid-sized point-and-shoot cameras are able to take at least 300 pictures before exhausting batteries.

When shooting pictures or taking video, you will notice a 2.5 inch LCD screen. There is no optical viewfinder, but honestly, how many people use this? The LCD screen is so much easier when snapping the shot when the smiles are ready. And then, there’s the infamous Share button.

One of the benefits of an EasyShare is the “Share” button. Hit the Share and launch the Koday EasyShare Z915 software and send those precious memories to Grandma. Grandma will love it, and you will love the Koday EasyShare Z915.

The profile of the Z712 IS looks awesome - completely modern and yet powerful and professional. The design was certainly well thought out.

Kodak was the top dog in the film market for quite awhile, and was the household name when it came to getting a camera. As time went on, however, they started to slip, and companies like Nikon, Canon, and Sony filled their void. For awhile, Kodak seemed completely out of the game.

That has all changed, however, as Kodak has been pumping out a wide array of point and shoot and prosumer digital cameras. The EasyShare line features cameras of all sizes and features, and one of their newest, higher end units is the EasyShare Z712 IS. The Z712 IS can be classified as a prosumer digital camera, which means it’s more than a point and shoot but less than a DSLR – it’s like having a DSLR with a fixed lense.

If you’re in the market for a prosumer and you think the new Z712 IS digital camera might be the one for your, read on. Below is a list of the pros and cons of purchasing this camera, as well as the issues you can expect.

Body

The body of the Z712 IS is very nice, and it looks both professional and stylish. The body is solid feeling and very comfortable to hold if you are right handed. If you aren’t, you mind need a while to get used to the grip, but you’ll eventually get used to it.

The front of the camera has a large zoom lens that protrudes at all times, and a wide handle that covers the right side of it. The flash is a pop-up and appears above the lense when you need it. There is no obtrusive logo on the front of the device, which is actually nice.

The profile of the Z712 IS looks awesome – completely modern and yet powerful and professional. The design was certainly well thought out, and whoever designed it gets major points.

The back of the camera is equally as beautiful, though it is more standard and similar to average DSLRs. The lens is very large and takes up most of the let side. Above the display is a rubber-shrouded view finder, and next to the display is the circular navigation wheel.

Features

The Z712 IS features 12x optical zoom with excellent image stabilization – there are little blurs in very fast shots, and none in average handheld shots. The camera features a wide array of exposure controls that can be manually adjusted, and a series of preprogramed modes similar to the ones in every camera.

The sensor is a 7.1 megapixel CCD sensor, and the unit has an ISO range from 64 – 3200.

Photo Quality

Photo quality in bright and normal light is very good, and it is good in low light. There is some noticeable noise, but the higher you crank the ISO, the worse it gets. The colors are very saturated and pure looking, and the photos come over feeling vibrant and real.

The optical zoom ensures you can get a distant shot without a loss in quality.

Issues

The ISO noise is the only issue with this camera.

Conclusion

I love this camera, but that’s just me – there are certainly others that produce equally attractive photos. The handle is very comfortable for those who are right handed, but may feel awkward for someone who is left handed.

The Kodak DCS 14n is the first dSLR camera to be offered by Kodak, and was first announced in the end of 2002.

The Kodak DCS 14n is the first dSLR camera to be offered by Kodak, and was first announced in the end of 2002. When first released, this DSLR came with a $5k price tag, which was cheap compared to the rest of the available digital SLRs. The camera can now be found for less than $1500 if you buy a used for refurbished one.

If you’ve enjoyed Kodak cameras in the past, especially their modern line of digital cameras, then you’ve likely considered Kodak for your professional needs. If that’s the case, read on. This review lists the pros and cons of purchasing the DCS 14n, as well as general info about this DSLR.

Body

The body of this camera is large, but smaller than many dSLRs on the market. The top half of the case is specially designed by Kodak, and the rest or the body is a non-glossy black plastic. It is wider at the bottom then it is at the top.

The lens is centered in the body of the device, and appears a bit too small for the frame, though that is normal with most DSLRs. The camera is designed with a right-hand grip, and the shutter button is lower on the end of the handle, which may make it a bit hard for left-hand shooters to press.

The LCD is below the EFV, and has a neat row of buttons on both sides of the display. The navigational button is ideally place for the thumb when holding the grip, so it’s easier to use while in mid-shot.

The mode dial and flash button are on the left side instead of the right, so you’ll have to use your left hand to manipulate them.

Features

The DCS 14n features all the options you’d expect to find in a DSLR. It has four exposure modes and six white balance modes. The continuous mode can take up to eight shots at a time before writing. Exposure goes to 19EV, which is approximately the equivalent of 100 ISO.

Shutter speed can go as long as 30 seconds, or as fast as 1/4000second. While it make not be the fastest option, the 30 seconds delay means you’ll be able to catch lightening shots, or do nice light graffiti photography.

There is both a built-in flash and a port for an external flash, the battery is proprietary, and the storage medium is SD and MMC cards, not CF cards as most DSLRs use.

Image Quality

The resolution on these photos is amazing, and the sharpness, even at lower megapixels, is quite good. These pictures are very nice, and for someone who understands how to use the manual functions, they can come out quite nice.

Cons

The continuous mode is slower than other cameras, and it won’t capture movie like frames of a fast movement.

Also, the photos taken in auto white balance sometimes look a bit washed out, so you will need to manually alter settings. The edges of photos look a bit soft and out of focus, but aren’t vignetted. If you’re the type that generally crops in th edges, this shouldn’t matter too much.

Conclusion

This camera is very good for its price, is smaller then many DSLRs, and would be the perfect camera for certain types of shooters. If you don’t need high-action shots, then this camera would likely be perfect for you. The resolution trumps other, more famous cameras, such as the EOS, and is very pleasant to look at.

If, on the other hand, you want fast start, write, and shot times, you might want to look elsewhere.

The Kodak EasyShare line of digital cameras continues to grow every year, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it always gets better. The older cameras have just as good of quality as the newer ones - sometimes better - and generally just has lower megapixels and a poor video recording.

Since megapixels have nothing to do with quality, but size, there is little point in getting the 8-megapixel shooter over the older 6-megapixel. One of the older but still good EasyShare digital cameras is the Kodak EasyShare C653. The C653 is an ultra-compact digital camera with a square-ish body and good specs.

If you’re looking for and older – and thus cheaper – digital camera, the C653 might be a good option for you. Read on to see if this device is the ideal choice for you.

Body

The body of the C653 is silver and made of metal – it is quite scratch resistant. The lens is a zoom type, and sits in the middle of the body. The flash is located above it, which the view finder is off to the side. The handle is similar to the ones found on the Canon A-series of players.

The back of the device is snazzy and has a surprisingly large screen given it’s age. There is a small navigational dial to the left of the screen, and the viewfinder sits above it.

Features

This digital camera features a 6-megapixel CCD sensor. The zoom is set at 3x and is optical – there is also 5x digital zoom. The ISO ranges from 80 – 1250, and the unit uses a USB cable for connection.

There are 18 modes on this camera, which is quite a bit, and the a video mode that records in VGA. The only photo option is JPEG, which is disappointing.

Photo Quality

Unfortunately, the photo quality is not as good as it could be. There is noticeable noise which get progressively worse the higher you get in ISO. The shots look fine when taken in the bright outdoors, however.

Issues

The shutter is too slow for anything more than still objects. You can’t catch a playing pet or running child, and will have difficulties focusing on moving objects. Don’t buy this to photograph the pets.

Conclusion

If you need a cheap digital camera for a specific purpose – for example, photographing eBay items, then this device is fine. If you need something to photograph sports, however, you need to look elsewhere.

The Kodak EasyShare 6.2 Megapixel Digital Camera, Model: C613 has some of the coolest features on the market, and will allow you to take breathtaking pictures.

Just because you are looking for an amazing digital camera doesn’t mean that you will have to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to receive a wonderful digital camera. There are many digital cameras on the market that have great image processors and other features that will cost you under $100. The Kodak EasyShare 6.2 Megapixel Digital Camera, Model: C613 has some of the coolest features on the market, and will allow you to take breathtaking pictures. However, the best part about this digital camera is the fact that you can own it for under $100. I highly recommend this Kodak digital camera for any consumer looking for a great bargain.

Product Ratings:

User-Friendliness: 4/5 Stars

Image Quality: 4/5 Stars

Product Features: 4/5 Stars

Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars

Main Product Features:

The first feature that I found interesting within this Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera is the overall megapixel count. With a total of 6.2 megapixels this digital camera does not come overloaded with megapixels that the common camera user will never use. If you are an average digital camera consumer, then you do not need over 7 megapixels. With 6.2 megapixels you will be able to enjoy high-quality images that are full of color and life, but you can still enlarge a print to 20 x 30-inches without loosing any image quality.

Another great feature this digital camera has is its amazing video recording. If you enjoy recording videos as well as taking photographs, then you will love the unlimited video recording time. The only limit to the length of video you can record is the size of your memory card. With a filming speed of 30 fps (frames-per-second), all of your videos will be extremely smooth and brilliant. The camera also comes with a built-in microphone so you are able to hear the action as well as see it. You are able to record in two formats: MPEG-4 and QuickTime.

This digital camera accepts a total of three different memory cards. These include SDHC Cards, SD Cards and Multimedia Cards. However, you are also able to store pictures directly on the digital camera through its internal memory storage. You will be able to store 16MB worth of photographs directly on this camera.

This Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera is powered by two AA batteries, which will allow you to easily recharge the camera if it dies without having to plug it into an outlet. Buying rechargeable batteries will save you money and hassle.

Product Price:

This Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera is available online and in most electronic retail stores and demands an awesome price of $75 on average.

Found in Walgreen’s Black friday ad the Kodak EasyShare C913 a 9.2 Megapixel for less than $80 it is sure to be a best seller.

The day after Thanksgiving or Black Friday as it is sometimes affectionately referred is the annually largest single day of retail sales day in the US. From LCD televisions to Hanna Montana toys black Friday sales showcase a wide variety of products. However, none of those products ever seem to be as popular as a deeply discounted digital camera. This season Walgreens has decided to advertise the Kodak EasyShare C913 a 9.2 Megapixel digital camera for less than $80. With a popular brand name like Kodak this deal will certainly attract a good deal of attention. I have gotten my hands on one of these and I am going to let you know exactly how good of a deal this really is.

Image Quality: 3.5/5

Features: 4/5

Value: 5/5

Overall: 4/5

Product Overview:

The Kodak EasyShare C913 that I am reviewing is the Silver model however it is available in various colors. The back features a 2.4 inch LCD screen to view your images which is fairly large for its class. In overtly bright condictions this screen can be difficult to see and it does not have a view finder so keep this in mind. It is a point and shoot so it is quite small and will easily fit in your boat pocket or purse. The outer shell is plastic and doesn’t feel tremendously sturdy however I haven’t had a problem with it.

The features are limited but it does include several preset shooting options. It includes a high ISO option for low light conditions however low light photos do have some noise which would be expected in this price range. Properly lit photos turn out well and thanks to Kodak’s blur reducing technology about every photo turns out printable. The only concern is that some may find the small buttons annoying especially if you have large fingers. However, the digital camera’s layout is intuitive and even the most technologically inexperienced person should have an easy time getting the hang of it.

The optical zoom is a 3x zoom, which is standard, and thanks to the included stabilizer still takes great photos even at maximum zoom. This camera does include a digital zoom which essentially blows us the photo resulting in a reduction of quality so I don’t recommend going beyond this camera’s optical zooming capabilities.

Product Value:

The Kodak EasyShare C913 is normally available for about $100 however the black Friday deal that Walgreens is proposing is much lower than this at $79.99. For less than $80 it is hard to find a brand name digital camera capable of taking photos at greater than 9 megapixels. This is a fantastic deal for those types of consumers interested in casual photography. This encompasses the majority of consumers. If you’re interested in a more professional camera then you’ll need to keep shopping around.
